Lyle

(1:02:08)
Leah (Gaby Hoffmann) and June (Ingrid Jungermann) have found the perfect Brooklyn brownstone apartment for them, their infant daughter Lyle, and their next daughter with whom Leah is pregnant. Despite the weird neighbors -- like the off-putting landlady downstairs and the group of models who upstairs -- they're falling in love with their new life, until tragedy strikes and Lyle dies in a bizarre accident. We catch up with Leah and June months later. She's further along in her pregnancy, but is still grief-stricken. She isn't coping well, developing theories of what might've really happened, trying to make sense of Lyle’s death. As June's career as a music producer takes off, Leah finds herself alone with her thoughts more and more. She tries to make sense of the baby-obsessed landlady downstairs and finds herself drawn to one of the models who lives upstairs, while June grows more distant. As her pregnancy nears term and she prepares for her home birth, Leah begins suspect some kind of satanic pact and fears the baby inside of her might be the next sacrifice. Through paranoid research, she learns that first-born sons have died in the building before, but could they have been sacrificed by their parents? And what happens if someone doesn't have any sons, would it cost two girls in exchange?
